Hand thrown porcelain vessel. Celadon glaze, reduction wood fired kiln .

This piece is one I consider to be a favourite, small and delicate but striking. It was fired in the community wood firing in Angus in whichthe kiln acts more like a reduction kiln. Drawing our the iron in the glaze, reacting with the atmosphere and resulting in this light blue finish. It was places at the top of the kiln which allowed the pot to captured particals in the kiln. Giving the piece a slight speckledness to it.
